Jing Wu Dragons

The program for the Jing Wu Dragons (4-6 years) is mainly aimed at improving the motor skills of the children. Besides becoming more aware of their own body, they also work in a playful manner on increasing their concentration and improving discipline. The trainings are partly aimed at self-defense, but also for a large part at broadening social skills. Games and learning moments alternate regularly.

Jing Wu Dragons - Class

Through the mostly physical exercises children learn to recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and to use these positively where necessary. The children learn to sometimes adopt a solid stance and sometimes a flexible attitude. They learn to be resilient in dealing with external influences (society) without losing themselves in the process.

The children are helped to trust themselves, to stand up for themselves and to dare to choose their own path. We help the children to better deal with peer pressure, bullying but also to be goal-oriented.

We try to teach the children to be open to other people’s opinions and to teach them how to work together, build friendships, connect and communicate.

Benefits of Jing Wu Dragons

The results of our training are reflected in how the children behave at home and in the immediate society around us.

About the classes

Classes for this young age group are 40 minutes long. This proves to be the most effective length of time where this group can properly absorb new information.

A recognizable training with the Jing Wu Dragons consists of a short warm-up followed by light stretching exercises. This is followed by motor specific exercises which aim to improve the general and somewhat finer motor skills.

NIVEAUS

At the Jing Wu Dragons training we are not yet engaged in real exams. The children will only receive different colored slips that indicate how long the child has been training in the Jing Wu Dragon program.

When he/she is 6 years old and ready (at the discretion of the relevant Jing Wu Kids Instructor) to go to the second group (Jing Wu Kids) then an accelerated examination possibility may exist, depending on the level.
