At the end of September we have planned a very special weekend with the expert par excellence in the field of cutting weapons & firearms, Tom Sotis! This is a unique opportunity to absorb three days of information in the field of cutting weapons. How to increase your skills, motivation, mindset, tactical solutions etc. It is unique to be able to bring Tom Sotis (a good friend of Sifu Benno for more than 15 years) to the Netherlands for so many days, don’t miss this opportunity!

Location: UCT Academy Amsterdam

Investment: 99 euros for the entire weekend If you come for 1 day (regardless of which one), it is 49 euros per day.

Below is the likely schedule, keep in mind that training (often) goes overtime 😉

FRIDAY:

PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION: (19.00 hrs.) Training drills to develop and coordinate the elements of invincible performance: vision, attention, intention, structure, breathing, movement, and recovery.

SATURDAY:

MOTIVE: 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM Where there’s a Will, there’s a Way, but first, there’s a Why. Discussion on the 16 motivational drivers of all humans. MINDSET: 1.45-2.30 Mindset, for both attackers and defenders, is a combination of one’s strategy and willpower. Discussion on the mindset of attackers and various Strategic responses to violence that includes a detailed analysis of Willpower for defenders.

UNARMED KNIFE DEFENSE / DISARMING 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM A brief discussion on the Pyramid of Priorities followed by the tactics of protection, counter-striking, catching a moving arm, grabbing, and releasing the blade from their grasp.

SUNDAY:

KNIFE FOR SELF-DEFENSE 12.00-14.00 & 15.00-17.00 Learn to identify potential knife attackers quickly to enhance your situational awareness and techniques to prevent or interrupt attempts to access their weapon. How to create a safe moment to access a knife or improvised instrument (pen, flashlight, etc.) if you are assaulted. Countering knife attacks with escalation of force tactics (arm-cutting and Arm-body combinations) and following up with easy to achieve disarms and takedowns. Q&A 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM
