GREAT START 2026 – UPDATE SPRINGBREAK

2026 has started strong for UCT — with two outstanding events already completed that set the tone for the rest of the year. Both on the mat and in the kung fu hall, development, depth, and team spirit were central.

The year kicked off with an intensive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu exam day. During this day, multiple candidates were evaluated on technique, insight, control, and mental resilience. We are proud to announce that several new Blue belts were awarded, and that TeamUCT Amsterdam also welcomed a new Brown belt. A great achievement and the result of years of consistent training, sparring, and continuous learning. The exam day demonstrated not only technical skill, but also perseverance, respect, and mutual support — exactly what our school stands for.

Shortly after, an inspiring kung fu weekend followed, focused on Wing Chun and Tui Shou as we train it from Yi Quan. These sessions concentrated on structure, timing, sensitivity, and body mechanics. Participants refined details and deepened their understanding of contact, pressure, and relaxation. Training was intensive, focused, and conducted in a positive and open atmosphere.

Both events were led by Sifu Kleber Battaglia, whose knowledge and direct teaching style created quality, clarity, and a relaxed learning environment.

Looking ahead to the summer, there is more good news: Sifu Benno will co-host the Summer Camp 2026 edition in Amsterdam together with Sifu Kleber Battaglia. A unique opportunity to train intensively over multiple days and further develop participants’ skills. More details will follow — keep an eye on the events page for updates.
